PLAN YOUR TRIP
The following is a list of things already supplied in your cabin:
- Pots, pans, bake ware, utensils, dishes, glasses, silverware, knives, coffee maker, hand mixer, and an electric can opener.
- Blankets, pillows, sheets.
- Dish detergent, dishwasher powder, garbage bags, dish sponge, and toilet paper.
- Charcoal grill, picnic table, and chairs.
- Broom, hand broom and dust pan, and an outdoor trash container.
- Fire Extinguisher under kitchen sink.
The following is a list of things you will need to bring:
- Bar soap, shampoo, towels, laundry detergent, paper towels, wood matches, charcoal, a large pan if you will be cooking a turkey or ham, and other personal items.
- Food including staples (i.e.: salt, pepper, flour, coffee, tea, 8 cup size coffee filters, etc.)
- Old comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, a jacket as some evenings are cool even in the summer.
- Firewood – There is a bow saw in the cabin. You may cut dead trees on the property and gather tree limbs on the ground. Bug repellant, citronella candle, and a flashlight.
- A mountain bike, backpack, fishing gear, compass, binoculars, horse. Only if you own any of these items and wish to bring them. There is a $50.00 fee for your horse’s stay.
- The last thing you will need to bring is a sense of adventure and good humor. These are a must as the pace here is much slower than you are used to and the roads are less traveled.
Most activities will require a whole day to do them such as visiting Seneca Rocks, Smokehole Caverns, etc.
When planning on dining out at a fine restaurant schedule 2-3 hours of your time depending where you are traveling to eat.
BEFORE YOU DEPART
To avoid a $25.00 cleaning fee charged to your credit care after you depart:
- Please remove the sheets from your bed and place in the bathroom.
- Wash all pots and pans and put away.
- Place all trash in the outdoor trash container.
- Empty out the refrigerator and freezer and clean up major spills.
- Leave your key on the kitchen table and turn the porch light on.
Thank you for your cooperation. Sandra
