The White Oak: Our original log cabin, tucked in the side of the North Fork Mountain with views of Brushy Mountain (a deer trail runs right by this cabin), sleeps up to 4 people comfortably and
features all the modern conveniences of life in the rugged terrain of the Monongahela National forest.
This log cabin is approximately 850 sq. ft. and offers a story and a ½ of living space with a cathedral ceiling in the living room, dining room and kitchen area. There are 2 queen beds in separate bedrooms. Sheets, pillow and blankets are provided. Other features offer a full kitchen with seating for 4 at the kitchen table, a refrigerator, icemaker, dishwasher, gas range and microwave, toaster and automatic drip 8 cup coffee pot. Cookware, bakeware, silverware, dishes, linens, cooking utensils and glassware are provided. The bathroom offers a 2 person whirlpool, washer and dryer, and separate shower. Towels and toilet tissue are provided. The cabin is heated with electric baseboard heat and has window A/.C. The living room offers a gas fireplace ,sofa and loveseat, satellite TV and direct dial in phone. All local calls are free. A covered porch offers patio furniture and a charcoal grill not far from the porch. Off the kitchen is a small yard with a small deck and patio table with 4 chairs. This area is cozy and offers privacy. There is also an outdoor fire ring for evening campfires next to the back yard. Bring your own firewood or gather down wood on the property.
The Guesthouse: Our second addition located across the road from our White Oak Cabin with views of Brushy Mountain and other ridgelines is a unique cabin that sleeps up to 8 people in 4 twins in a small room
upstairs (there is a sky light window and A/C in this room), and a queen bed and daybed in the living room. Sheets, pillows and blankets are provided. Other features include a full kitchen with seating for 6 at the kitchen table, a refrigerator, icemaker, dishwasher, gas range and microwave, toaster and automatic drip 8 cup coffee pot. Cookware, bakeware, silverware, dishes, linens, cooking utensils and glassware are provided. The large bathroom offers a 2 person whirlpool, washer and dryer, and separate shower, towels and toilet tissue are provided. The cabin is heated and cooled with electric forced air. The living room features a Timberline wood burning stove, sofa, reclining chair, armoire to store items, satellite TV and direct dial in phone. All local calls are free. This cabin is approximately 1200 sq. ft. and features native stone in the living room and log siding and cedar shingles on the exterior. A covered porch offers patio furniture and a charcoal grill not far from the porch. There is also an outdoor fire ring for evening campfires. Bring your own firewood or gather down wood on the property.
The Overlook: Our latest addition was built from solid hand hewn 12" dovetail pine logs and sits by itself on a rock face. From the covered porch you can see views of Brushy Mountain, other ridgelines, the
road below and a small field that pastures horses on and off throughout the year. This cabin sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. It is the same layout as the White Oak Cabin only you enter through the kitchen area.
